Jenni Shires - Owner, Massage Therapist, Esthestician

A Licensed Massage Therapist and Esthetician for 17 years, Jenni found her calling in the Spa industry the minute she stepped into one. She lived in the Caribbean for 3 years, managing four World Class Spas throughout the British Virgin Islands. Working in the “center of the spa world” gave her the opportunity to explore many cutting edge treatments, expanding her knowledge and helping her passion for the spa industry grow tremendously. This gave her the desire to take what she has learned and open her own location. She also teaches Massage and Spa therapies at various massage schools, which gives her an opportunity to pass on her passion to other therapists.

She lives in Lake Tapps with her wonderful, supportive husband of 13 years, Cricket, and her 2 beautiful (hopefully future spa therapists!) daughters, Simonne (9), and Eve (6). When she is not busy at the spa, she loves to travel with her family, have fun in the sun, watch her daughters play soccer, and have quiet coffee time with Cricket.

Robin - Manager, Massage Therapist

Robin is the Spa manager and Deep Tissue Massage specialist at Solei. Becoming a Massage Therapist has turned out to be a blessing in her life, as it has opened many doors for her. She is grateful that she chose to embark on this path and can bring a reduction of pain, relaxation and happiness to her family, friends and clients. Robin was born in Oregon and raised in Federal Way. She graduated from Federal Way High School, played Volleyball at Green River Community College and graduated from Washington State University (Go Cougs!). She received her Massage Therapy License from Ashmead College in Fife, WA.

The treatment that she likes to receive the most is a Hot Stone Massage. The depth to which the heat of the stones can reach is incredible and helps her to relax…which if you know Robin, is a very difficult task!

The treatment she likes to give the most is a Deep Tissue Massage. Most people don’t realize the stress they hold in shoulders, back, glutes or legs, and after a Deep Tissue Massage the body feels rejuvenated and almost ready to take on the world…ALMOST.

Nadia - Make-Up Artist

Nadia is the in-house make-up artist at Solei. She has intermittently been a part of the cosmetics industry for eleven years, working for lines such as Clarins, Prescriptives and Bobbi Brown Essentials. Her personal philosophy of “Less ‘making-up’ and more of the REAL you”, comes forth in her work with Solei’s private line of pure Mineral make-up, Asana Cosmetics.

Nadia and her husband, Tim, are proud to be entering their tenth year of marriage. She has two children, Kennedy (9) and Carson (6). In her spare time, she greatly enjoys her yoga practice and is learning to golf. Gardening, decorating, and cooking are other favorite hobbies of hers.

Understanding the busy schedule of moms and working women is of great importance to Nadia, thus she strives to help her clients find the right balance of quick and beautiful. Stephanie - Massage Therapist

Stephanie wears many hats, but being a Massage Therapist at Solei is definitely one of her favorites. After graduating with honors and a Spa specialist/Aromatherapy certification from Ashmead College in early 2008 and earning her LMP license, she operated her own clinic in Tacoma before being asked by Solei owner (and her former instructor!) Jenni Shires to join the team. Steph is kind of a "jack-of-all-trades" LMP; she's well-trained and enjoys working with her guests in a variety of massage modalities and spa treatments.

In addition to working as an LMP at Solei, Stephanie is a student at Tacoma Community College working towards a nursing degree and cultivating her passion for health care. When she isn't providing Solei guests with fantastic massage and spa experiences, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and her crazy family, reading, catching up on pop culture knowledge and events, and singing - in the car, at karaoke, with her church, in the shower - with what little free time she has! You can always get on her good side by talking about NPR or David Sedaris books and bringing her cheesecake.

Melissa - Massage Therapist

Melissa recently moved to the Lakeland Hills area from Redding, CA where she worked at a massage clinic for two years. She was born and raised in Washington, but soon after receiving her massage license at Ashmead College in the summer of 2007, Melissa went with her husband to Redding for work.

Now that she feels she is back at "home", Melissa has gained an interest in hot yoga and hiking. She also enjoys reading, shopping, playing with her pug Mojo, and spending time with her husband Tyler.

Melissa loves the fact that she is finally doing what she has been wanting to do since she first started massage school and that is work at a spa! She enjoys it when clients walk in hurting and leave feeling like a million bucks. Her favorite treatment to give is the seaweed wrap and any type of massage. Melissa is able to relax you, but also get those stubborn muscles to let go. Her favorite treatment to recieve is massage of course and the custom clariflying facial.

Danielle - Esthetician, Nail Technician

Danielle attended the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute in Seattle where she obtained her cosmetology and esthetician license. She loves working in an industry where you can make people feel good and relaxed. Her favorite treatments to give is any kind of waxing, so come see her if you have unwanted hair! With her perfectionism personality, brow shaping is her favorite. Danielle's favorite treatment to receive is the Custom Clarifying Facial because it is very relaxing and leaves your skin feeling amazing! With hopes of owning her own Salon and Day Spa one day, she is also currently finishing up her Marketing Degree at the University of Washington. In her spare time she enjoys riding her sport bike with her fiance’, hanging out with friends, or anything that entails having a good time!

Amy - Esthetician, Nail Technician

Amy has been an Esthetician for almost 5 yrs, and says there is not a day she ever minds going to work and seeing her clients! She believes this industry is the most amazing, fun, work! She has continued education with advanced classes at International Dermal Institute (NY and Las Vegas) and National Laser Institute (Scottsdale AZ) with certification in all lasers, IPL, Microderm, & Microcurrent, as well as Clinical classes in advanced treatments for acneic, sensitive, and sun-damaged skin. Amy loves giving the ultimate relaxing facial, that leaves clients radiant, and renewed!! She specializes in sensitive skin conditions, and loves educating clients on proper home care. If you need waxing maintenance, you are in trusted hands with Amy. She recently completed her nail license and loves giving an expert polish and massage! Come enjoy the spa, mom to mom, and friend to friend. She looks forward to meeting every expectation you have! Cheers.

Caitlin - Esthetician

Caitlin went to Clover Park Technical College where she completed her Esthetician certifications as well as specialty training on Skin reactions to Chemical peels, Laser and a multitude of advanced techniques. She loves to be in an industry that even after one treatment you can see a dramatic change in your skin, and also enjoys seeing that change in people's attitude and outlook when their skin has improved. When she isn't working at the spa, Caitlin enjoys spending time with her 2 year old daughter, Ava, being outdoors, and doing photography.

Amanda - Nail Technician

Amanda recently moved to the Auburn area from a Salon and Spa in down town Renton where she did hair and nails. She has been a Cosmetologist for three years now, and is happy to be utilizing her Cosmetology license by becoming a natural Nail Tech here at Solei Day Spa. She is also proud to announce the opening of her brand new hair salon, Salon Mogano, located right next door to Solei; and urban, upscale spot to get a great cut and color!

Amanda feels like she is one of the lucky ones when it comes to her career. She does not feel as though what she does is work and she has fun with her guests and perfecting her craft. She is a very good listener and works well at creating a style and nail shape to your liking. When Amanda is not working, you will most likely find her outside enjoying the local sites.

Becky - Interior Designer Extraordinaire

Rebecca Jorgensen is the mastermind behind the amazing décor of Solei. She also happens to be the sister and best friend of the owner, Jennifer Shires (imagine the luck!).

When Jennifer came home from Tortola, BVI, she talked about wanting to open a spa and the concept began to take shape. It was always in the back of their minds and they would talk about it often. When the time finally came to open it, the design plan came together quickly and easily, as it had lived inside their minds for so long. Some of the key words Becky used when coming up with the design were texture, urban, comfortable, rich, structured, color, and line.

She received her design education at the Art Institute of Seattle as a gift to herself when she turned 30. She also owned her own residential design business for a short time called Schmancy. Today, Becky manages the Communication and Interior Design department at IKEA Seattle (which is also where they got alot of the furnishings and finishes for the spa!). She doesn't have a lot of time for freelance work these days, but can maybe squeeze in some. She has a 2 wonderful kids, Cory (22), and Ariel (18). She loves spending time with family, either lounging on her back porch or doing what every woman loves-shopping!

Becky’s favorite treatments have been all of them! She loves the buff and bronze. It has made her look fabulous on some very important date nights! And you can't go wrong with any of the facials - absolute heaven. She hopes you enjoy the experience of just being in the spa as much as the treatments themselves!
